The Front Mounted Flail Mower is a popular mulching attachment. It is used for cutting grass and clearing overgrown areas. Although this implement will require more power than a power scythe, the main advantage is that in most cases you do not need to clear up the growth, which is mulched.
The standard grass blades (reversible for longer life) will leave a good finish on normal grass and yet are tough enough to tackle most brambles, thistles, scrub and other vegetation found in overgrown areas. The adjustable wheels controls the cutting height and stone guard is fitted at the front foor extra safety.
Models are available, from 62cm cutting width, weight 88kg, for tractors from 7hp to 10hp, price £1,080 and cutting width 90cm, weight 104kg for tractors over 12hp @£1660.
