There are two conventional ploughs available, the smaller plough pictured left, is suitable for the Herbie and other makes of a similar size. Traction on lighter weight machines can be increased by adding balast, or by fitting steel wheels.
The larger plough is heavier for bigger machines, sometimes additional weight may be needed to balance the tractor.
The rotary plough has a large vertical power driven rotor that ploughs and breaks up the land in one pass, in many cases the land is immediately ready for planting. This machine is only suitable for heavier tractors.
