LOWER THE WATER TABLE – DRAIN A WET AREA – AERATE THE SOIL

LAY A PIPE OR CABLE – BREAK THE SOIL PAN

A new improved model is now suitable for tractors from 25 to 50hp.  The blade is reversible between mole ploughing and  subsoiling.  Maximum depth  35cm

Application

Mole draining is a very low cost way of creating underground water drainage channels to avoid waterlogging and lower the water table in fields.  Mole in pipes and cables (avoids the need to dig a trench) using the pulling eye provided.  Subsoiling is a good way to aerate the soil below plough depth to assist drainage and root growth, it can also be used as a first operation on very hard or rough ground.

The mole plough can be used as a subsoiler without the drainage ball/expander and the chisel blade facing down, it can break the hard pan under the surface, this will improve soil conditions and drainage,  the tractor hydraulic lift can control the depth.  If used as a mole plough, with mole blade facing down with or without the drainage ball the drainage ball,  the beam should slide along the ground to give the best results and create a good and level underground tunnel.   This is a low cost way to drain wet land, it can also be used to pull in underground pipes and cables with minimum disturbance to the ground surface. (see video).
Construction
The Implement is constructed of heavy steel with a chisel point and mole at opposite ends of the blade,  the optional drainage ball 50mm dia is fitted by a shackle.
Specification
Suitable for 25hp to 50hp tractors, working depth up to 35cm, Price £425.    Drainage ball/expander 50mm diameter    (optional) Price £69
