About BSG

BSG has seen many changes since it was was established to manufacture, import and supply a variety of tractors and machinery in 1986.

Premises at Marks Tey

We moved to our current premises at Marks Tey, near Colchester in Essex in 1992. Our cooperation with the Goldoni Tractor Company began in 1996 and in 1997 we introduced the Caron two seat Utility Vehicle to our market.

Bottom right is a picture of Graham Godward learning the importance of low ground pressure tractors many years ago.

In 1998 BSG developed the Quad Tractor, this tractor, based on the chassis of a vineyard tractor was lowered and widened to give better stability on slopes. A larger safer area for the operator was created with the addition of larger footplates. New wide wheels and large flotation tyres, made this tractor ideal for use on both soft ground and steep hills.  Over time the sale of the Quad tractor 20, 30, and 40, with over 1,000 sold became a major part of the business of BSG.

Sadly Claudio Goldoni died at an early age and after a difficult period the Goldoni Company ceased production in 2015.  Goldoni was  taken over by the Chinese owned Arbos Company resulting in the emphasis being placed production of the much larger Arbos Tractors.  This led to a reduced output  and was not good news for the Goldoni brand or our market.  In order to continue to supply our market we decided to replace the 30 and 40 models with tractors from Ferrari.

We are pleased to say that as a result of a long standing relationship with the Ferrari Tractor concessionaires, from 2015, BSG have supplied three Ferrari tractor models:-  Models 30 @ 26hp,  40 @ 36hp & model 60 @ 48hp. This gives the very best choice of tractors in the 20 to 50hp bracket with the added advantage of a reversible steering position on the 60.

Over the years we have acquired and manufactured an extensive range of implements for small and medium tractors as well as implements for two wheel tractors. Our range is now in excess of 200, which include implements from Italy and the UK for nearly every type of operation. The most popular are listed on this website and in our catalogue, others for more specific purposes are available upon request.

Further development work with our range of Caron Utility Vehicles, has meant that many have been supplied to large organisations for special purpose operations.
